This sample demonstrates how to use IOKitLib to find CD-ROM media mounted on the system. It also shows how to open, read raw sectors from, and close the drive.

This sample includes a single C source file and a Project Builder project.

Note that this sample has no UI and sends its output to the console. This output can be viewed either by running the app from within Project Builder or by running the Console utility located at /Applications/Utilities/Console.

This application must be run with root privileges. This is because the disk* nodes in /dev are not world-readable on Mac OS X. This may change in a future release.
